Summer is coming to an end

Since the summer is almost to an end I guess its time to update the blog:

June:
Jason's parents came out for a visit the first of June. I headed to Indiana for Vickie's 9th dance recital. Jason went fishing at Flaming Gorge twice, once for the maidan voyage of the Jeff's boat and then with our neighbor Bill and his son Zach. June was also our 11th anniversary we headed up to Homestead Resort in Heber UT. We went swimming in the crater that is a 55-foot tall, beehive-shaped limestone rock that nature has hollowed out and filled with 90° to 96° water.

July:
Jason and Sandy took a weekend and headed out on a motorcycle ride heading down to 4 corners. Pictures from their adventure: First night camping in Moab, UT. Uray, CO Box Canyon Waterfalls. The four corners monument CO,AZ,UT,NM. As the boys said a waste of time. At the temp was 109.
Sandy being funny Frye Canyon.

And this is how I have spent most of my summer since July 11. I ended up having 3rd degree sprain and 2 hairline fractures in the ankle bone. But at least my toes look good I had them done the day before.

SBK Miller Sports Park

This past weekend we joined our friend Mike and his girlfriend Jen for Superbike races at Miller Sports park in Tooele. Since Mike races he was able to get us passes for the weekend. If you notice the white canvas changes into a painting he was painting during a silent auction we attended. Also the riders sitting in the chairs were: Ben Sipes, Melissa Parks,

Park City Bobsled

For Memorial weekend friends came from Baltimore and since it was raining in SLC we headed up to Park City. First stop The Olympic Park to ride the blobsled course Jason has wanted to do the ice part of this but has always been way to $$. So instead they did the summer course on wheels for $60. The record for the course is 57 seconds.

Bear Lake Bike Trip

First Bike Trip of the year went up to Bear Lake and stayed at a "Cabin". Looks like a house to me. There was a total of 8 bikes ranging from Ducati to BMW to Yamaha.

The New Wheels

After Jason's trip last summer to DC on his motorcycle he noticed that his back wheel just didn't seem the same. So we took it to a friend who works on bikes and he informed us that the last person who put the tire on for him didn't torque it correctly. So wear and tear took place and ended up making the wheel unsafe. So long story short we bought new wheels but have realized that from now on we go to the Ducati shop for tire issues.

South Lake Tahoe CA

Jason and I just returned from a visit to Lake Tahoe. We stayed with my Aunt Joanne. She showed Jason the sites around the Lake. He even got to go skiing at Heavenly even though the conditions weren't the greatest he now and can say he skied there.
